Prisoner
9pm, Sky Atlantic
A lean, Line of Duty-esque police drama finds a fresh-out-of-idyllic-maternity-leave prison officer Amber (Big Boys’ Izuka Hoyle) on her way to pick up Tibor Stone (The Serpent’s Tahar Rahim). He plays a prisoner so dangerous he can’t even be trusted with his own insulin pump. Despite his heinous crimes, the police need his testimony to bring down an organised crime syndicate. Sleek storytelling, plus Eddie Marsan playing against type – what’s not to love? Priya Elan
Saint-Pierre
8pm, U&Alibi
This occasionally bilingual, always far-fetched Canadian procedural boasts one big asset: its stunning east-coast scenery. A Bastille Day killing sees Arch (Death in Paradise’s Joséphine Jobert) and Fitz (Allan Hawco) drawn into a world of mob rivalries that may have you asking: mais que se passe-t-il donc? Hannah J Davies
Taskmaster
9pm, Channel 4
Our five comedians try their best to make something boring exciting: Joanna Page smashes a sheep; Amy Gledhill creates a “sexy plank lady”; and Kumail Nanjiani invents a dish named “Racial Harmony” that combines a kebab with strawberry jam. (Greg Davies: “I didn’t think I’d say this, but racial harmony makes me feel sick.”) Ali Catterall
The Traitors India
9pm, BBC Three

The Indian gameshow remake takes place in a “fancy, mysterious palace”, with 20 contestants marshalled with camp flair by host Karan Johar. In this opening triple bill, the more grandiose style of the show permeates to the participants, whose accusations are much more flamboyantly confrontational than in the UK version. Lucinda Everett
Big Mood
10pm, Channel 4
Camilla Whitehill’s dark comedy about mental illness has leaned further into its kooky side for series two, but has it lightened the mood too much? This final double-header sees Maggie (Nicola Coughlan) try to save Eddie (Lydia West) from cultish-guru Whitney, before a flashback-heavy trip to 2010. HJD
The Miniature Wife
10pm, Sky Atlantic
The tricksy US comedy drama continues to waste the talents of Matthew Macfadyen as beleaguered scientist Les. While he deals with a new boss at work, his unfortunately shrunken wife, Lindy (Elizabeth Banks), has two visitors to her doll’s house: a human, who is welcome, and a fly, which engages her in a fight to the death.
