22 min: The ball is played out to Tynnilä on the right, who looks to play a cross but instead forces Fiskerstrand off her line to make the save. The goalkeeper parries the ball out and Norway can clear. Finland are coming close to an equaliser.
20 min: Finland have looked the better team on the ball in the last 10 minutes or so. Norway are struggling to string passes together in midfield.
17 min: The corner is taken and Sevenius goes for goal but misses the target.
16 min: A long ball is switched over to Sällström by Nyström. The striker brings it down before quickly releasing a shot, but it is brilliantly saved by Fiskerstrand and Finland have a corner.
14 min: O.Siren pulls the trigger on a long ball over to Kosola, who looks to make a run in behind the Norway defence, but the flag is up.
12 min: Koivisto plays a pass inside to Summanen around 25 yards out from goal. The Tottenham star looks to tee herself up for the shot but instead hesitates and goes for the pass. Norway can eventually clear.
9 min: Despite being one goal up, Norway have struggled so far when passing through the midfield. They just can’t seem to progress through the thirds effectively right now.
7 min: That was the perfect start for Norway. One chance, one goal. Finland find themselves on the back foot already.

4 min: The ball is switched over to Graham Hansen on the right, who eases past her marker before making a driving run into the box. She then squares it across goal to Maanum, but Nyström deflects it into her own net while attempting to intercept.

Both teams will now take part in a moment of silence before kick-off to pay tribute to Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, who both died in a tragic car accident on Thursday.

Norway head coach Gemma Grainger tells BBC Sport: “It’s nice to be back here in Sion. Really looking forward to the second game. The key today is to focus on this game - it is not helpful to think ahead on what can happen. We are very focused on how we can be at our best today.
“We have been here before so it felt familiar. We stayed at the same hotel so we have had a nice preparation into the game.”
Finland midfielder Eveliina Summanen on today’s game: “Since the Iceland game we have had a bit of rest and also good training sessions. I feel completely ready for Norway and I trust this is the case with all our players. Norway are maybe a bit of a stronger team than Iceland but we have more confidence from the win in the first game and we are certainly ready to challenge Norway also.”

Norway winger Caroline Graham Hansen on today’s game: “I think it’ll be a tough game. They won their opening game, so we’re in a bit of a similar situation: both sides know that a win will be a huge step towards the quarter-finals. So a lot is at stake.”

Preamble
Hello and welcome to coverage of the Euro 2025 clash between Norway and Finland. The second round of group stage fixtures kick off today, with the first quarter-finalists potentially confirmed by the end of play. Both teams go into this match having won their first group game, leaving them each on three points.
Norway came from behind to defeat tournament hosts Switzerland 2-1 in Basel thanks to an Ada Hegerberg strike and an own-goal from defender Julia Stierli. Meanwhile, Finland clinched a 1-0 win over Iceland in the opening match of the tournament courtesy of Katariina Kosola.
Victory today would see either team edge closer to the quarter-finals.
Kick-off for this one is at 5pm BST.
