39 min: The ball pings through Bayern’s midfield before Foord, cutting in from the left, shoots wide.
38 min: Bayern break away from Arsenal’s high press … but they’re still a touch too slow at moving it around and are forced to retreat to their centre-backs.
36 min: Fox and Mead play a nice one-two on the right before Caldentey dinks a hopeful ball into the area.
34 min: Schüller makes a key header to deny Russo from glancing in at the far post for Arsenal’s third.
32 min: Magical from Caldentey, turning inside-out to break away from Bayern’s pressure in midfield. That leads to a decent spell on the ball for Arsenal and a free-kick after Damnjanovic fouls.
29 min: Russo tracks back to intercept and build another move for Arsenal; Mead, on the right, is also thundering back to stifle Bayern.
28 min: Arsenal just look a cut above here; when Bayern do punt the ball long, down their left wing, Fox cleans up.
Again, Bayern are left trapped at the back, losing the ball in their defensive third: Mead plays first-time to Blackstenius, who lays off for Caldentey. She shifts wonderfully on to her right before blasting the ball in from the edge of the 18-yard box.
GOAL! Bayern Munich 0-2 Arsenal (Caldentey 23)
Moments after Blackstenius hits the bar, Caldentey adds to Bayern’s misery.

20 min: Better from the German side, with Bühl jinking away on the left before finding Schüller, who strikes from the D … the effort doesn’t cause Van Domselaar much bother.
19 min: Damnjanovic has been Bayern’s brightest spark so far, and she wins a free-kick by the halfway line after some tidy hold-up play.
18 min: Arsenal are enjoying Bayern’s aversion to going long from the back.
17 min: Russo shows strength to hold off two players and keep the move going forward, finding Caldentey from range: she lets fly from around 25 yards, but it’s a comfortable grab for Grohs.
15 min: Here come Bayern, with Damnjanovic driving through the middle before trying to slip in Bühl to her left inside the 18-yard box … blue shirts get in the way.
14 min: The game remains confined to Arsenal’s attacking third.
13 min: One corner leads to another, and then another. Mead whips it to the front post, but it’s cleared all the way to Berlin.
11 min: Arsenal excel with their press again, Mead high up on the right to disrupt her England teammate Stanway. It leads to a half-chance and an Arsenal corner …
9 min: Caldentey rushes forward into the No 10 region as Arsenal work hard off the ball, with Bayern looking a touch lost as they try and wheel it around the back. Arsenal look organised and confident.
8 min: Blackstenius leads the Arsenal press as the visitors keep Bayern trapped in their own half.
GOAL! Bayern Munich 0-1 Arsenal (Fox 5)
The champions are quick off the mark. McCabe whips a cross from the left – it’s cleared away before Mead strikes from inside the area. It’s straight at Grohs, who makes the save but really should do better – she parries it, with Fox present to head the bouncing ball into the net.

4 min: Damnjanovic breaks down the left for Bayern on the counter, but Arsenal already look in decent control, wheeling the ball around tidily.
3 min: Caldentey drives through the midfield for Arsenal, finding Russo, who is operating in the No 10 hole.
1 min: Wubben-Moy blasts long into the right channel but the ball is shielded and out for a Bayern goalkick.

Preamble
To the Allianz we go. Arsenal’s results are on the up, three consecutive victories followed by Alessia Russo’s late equaliser against Chelsea on Saturday. Even if they weren’t at their best in Lisbon last month, they got the three points.
Arsenal visited Bayern in last season’s Champions League, with Pernille Harder’s quickfire hat-trick delivering a 5-2 win for the hosts 13 months ago. But that kickstarted a glorious run, with Arsenal winning their remaining five group-stage games. They arrive in Munich this time round as European champions.
Bayern enter this fixture unbeaten in the Frauen-Bundesliga this season but also with a 7-1 defeat by Barcelona. They’ll search for a statement win; Arsenal will look to parade their continental pedigree. Kick-off’s at 5.45pm GMT.
