Given that romance scam documentaries have become a regular fixture in the schedules, you would think they would have lost the power to shock. But blood will boil in viewers of the first of this three-parter, where three women in middle life recall what happened when they were lonely and started talking to a handsome man online. It turned out, of course, that the same man was dating them all – and he was finding new ways of getting them to send him money. Hollie Richardson

Chloe Petts enjoys a strong start this week, with an outstanding show-and-tell object – the best ones always bully host Greg Davies in some way – followed by a task where her knowledge of the word “gleek” might be useful. It’s easy to see why this rural reboot has been a hit at home and away, with its wholesome vision of the English countryside and, of course, a steady stream of charming animals. The journalism-themed US Office spin-off seems unlikely to become as ubiquitous as that show, but there are still moments of Office-ish, Parks and Rec-esque mockumentary gold. As season two carries on, Oscar (Oscar Nuñez) negotiates with the Truth Teller’s corporate overlords, while newly minted investigative journalist Mare (Chelsea Frei) sinks her teeth into a new story. The silly boxing/gangland drama staggers on, led by Howard Charles as wronged former heavyweight champion Maduka “Duke” Kilroy. It’s finally time for Duke to put his grand plan for revenge against the Marshall boxing and crime clan into action, but when others around him start pursuing their own selfish agendas, chaos reigns once more.
