Delano Burgzorg scored the winning penalty in the shootout after Jusef Erabi equalised in stoppage time for 10-man Preston to knock Huddersfield out of the Carabao Cup. The game took place at Goodison Park, the former Everton men’s ground, due to Preston’s Deepdale pitch not being ready.
Daniel Iversen saved two penalties, after a thrilling end to normal time that ended 1-1 when Erabi cancelled out Radinio Balker’s strike. Preston played 69 minutes without Lewis Gibson who was shown a red card.
Set-pieces proved dangerous for Huddersfield and with seven minutes left in the first half, Balker scored with a header. Preston struggled with the man disadvantage in the first half, but after the break they applied more pressure and in the third minute of added time Erabi drilled the ‘home side’ level.
Burgzorg ended the shootout with a clinical penalty after Huddersfield missed two and Andrew Moran had his spot-kick saved by Matty Young.
Millwall’s goalkeeper, Lukas Jensen saved all four QPR spot-kicks as the visitors won 2-0 on penalties at Loftus Road. A late own goal by Mark Sykes cancelled out Luke Cundle’s second-half opener in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes. Jensen superbly kept out efforts from Ilias Chair, Harvey Vale and Koki Saito before his save from Kwame Poku sealed the victory.

Cambridge mounted a speedy comeback to beat Barnet 2-1. The visitors went ahead soon after half-time, but the Us hit back through Ben Knight and Isaac Heath to lead only eight minutes later.
Barnet took the lead four minutes after half-time. Callum Perry and Kell Watts made outstanding blocks on the line, but their efforts proved in vain as Kabongo Tshimanga tucked the rebound away.

That lead lasted three minutes, Cambridge hitting back through Knight’s deflected effort after a good move involving Perry and Glenn McConnell. Louis Appere then provided a low centre that was beautifully flicked home by debutant Heath five minutes later.
